V. Mae (Holmes) Hoopingarner

Mae Hoopingarner, 53, of Houston, Tex., formerly of South Bend, died Sunday morning in the M.D. Anderson Clinic, Houston, after suffering a heart attack. Born Jan. 28. 1921, she had lived in South Bend until 1941.

On June 15, 1941, as Mae Holmes, she was married to George E. Hoopingarner, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Dr. Charles R. Hoopingarner of Houston; a daughter, Marcia Ann, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Danch of South Bend and Mrs. Dick Sutherland of Arlington Heights, Ill.

Services were to be today in the George H. Lewis and Son Funeral Home, Houston. Burial was to be in the Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, Houston.
