ELKHART - Services for Harold Levi Noggle, 70, of 56541 Boss Blvd., who died Tuesday morning in his home, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hartzler-Gutermuth Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.

Mr. Noggle retired in 1984 from Elkhart Brass and had been a machinist at Adams & Westlake Co. He was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Warsaw.

On Aug. 5, 1950, in Elkhart, he married Mary M. Petriella. She died Jan. 29, 1974.

Surviving are a son, George of Elkhart; two grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Murray of Dowagiac.

Mr. Noggle was World War II veteran, having fought in North Africa, Sicily and France. He was awarded the Purple Heart for action during the European invasion at Omaha Beach and the Bronze Star for heroic achievement in the Battle of Hurtgen Forest in France. He was a member of the church
