Racyn June (Barber) Bernhardt

Racyn J. Bernhardt Racyn Bernhardt, 66, of 1014 Chippewa Ave., died at 3:50 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital. She retired from Indiana Bell in 1975. She was born June 27, 1922, in South Bend and lived in the area all her life.

In 1941, as Racyn J. Barber, in Bryan, Ohio, she married Robert Bernhardt. He survives with two daughters, Barbara Szalewski and Dianne Ulbricht, both of South Bend; a son, William L. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; 'a great-grandchild; and a sister, Betty J. Osborn of Goshen.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. She was a member of the Indiana Bell Pioneer Association
