Martha Jane (Hively) Brooks

Martha Jane Brooks born in South Bend, IN on March 4, 1922 and passed away on January 18, 2011 in Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Edith Hively; sisters, Bertha McCormick and Lucille Roose and her loving husband, Hal Brooks.

Survived by son, Donald Carbiener; daughter, Barbara Blute and granddaughters, Cheri Bauer-Aronstein and Jessica Carbiener as well as her many nieces and nephews.

She retired from the procurement department at the University of Arizona. We would like to thank her caregivers, Cindy Carbiener and the staff at Casa Theresita for all of their help.

Services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at 421 Lazy Horse Place, Tucson, AZ 85704. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and Blind Cheerleading fund in her name. Arrangements handled by HEATHER MORTUARY
