Anna M. Holobyn, 56, of 1002 E. Dayton, died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center following an extended illness. She was an employee at the Virginia M. Tutt Branch of the South Bend Public Library.
Born June 10, 1926, in South Bend, she had lived here her entire life. As Anna Tamburini, she married Joseph Holobyn on June 26, 1948. He survives along with her mother, Mrs. Emilia Tamburini of South Bend; two daughters, Miss Amy Jo Holobyn of Mishawaka and Mrs. Doria Walsh of South Bend; two sons, Joseph and Thomas, both of South Bend; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Marie Bilancio and Mrs. Emily Kopec, both of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew Cathedral with Bishop Joseph R. Crowley, rector, officiating. Friends may call from 7 : to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 :p.m. Sunday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, Ironwood near Jefferson, where a rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
She was past president of the church's Rosary Society. Memorial contributions may be made to the Easter Seal campaign or the church.
