Charles W. Barnes

Charles W. Barnes, 62, of 54256 Terrace Lane, died at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday in his home. He was the owner of Barnes Electric Co. since 1964. Born Aug. 15, 1922, in Rockford, Ill., he lived in the South Bend area most of his life.

On March 29, 1942, in South Bend, he married Mildred "Midge" Gonser, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Roxie Klink of Pinellas Park, Fla., Bobbie Wiseman of Ocala, Fla., and Vickie Hostetler of Osceola; two sons, Charles S. and James W., both of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Enders of Watervliet.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 33 N., and burial will follow.
