SOUTH BEND - Services for John Botich , 73, of Bayswater Place, who died at 3:58 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sts. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Zahoran Funeral Home and one hour before services Thursday in the church. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
Mr. Botich retired in 1986 from AM General where he had worked for 22 years. He was born July 6, 1921, in Charles City, Iowa, and lived in this area most of his life. On Oct. 9, 1948, in South Bend, he married Mary Lou Jefferies. She survives with two sons, John Jr. of Lakeville, and Jeffrey of Granger; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Walter and Mike, both of South Bend. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the church and Masonic Lodge 294.
