MISHAWAKA — Elsie Carson-Bivens, 90, of West Tanglewood Lane, Mishawaka, formerly of West Donaldson Street, Mishawaka, died following an illness on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka. She was born February 2nd, 1921, in Cleveland, TN, to Clint and Susan (Hicks) Carson, who preceded her in death along with a brother, Bud Carson, and a sister, Ruby Carson, and her stepmother, Opal Carson.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary (John) Wisley of The Villages, Florida, and Shirley (Sam) Garns of Mishawaka. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Larry Davey. There will be no services or visitation.Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Fountainview Place and the Center for Hospice Care for the loving care given to Elsie during her illness. Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge or to the St. Joseph County Humane Society. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
