Inez M (Grubbs) Frear
Inez M Frear, 99, of Ottawa, KS passed away peacefully December 31, 2021 at Rock Creek of Ottawa. She was born September 10, 1922 in South Bend, Indiana the daughter of Leonard and Beulah (Shaffer) Grubbs.
She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Frear on March 17, 1944 at the United States Naval Air Station, All Saints Chapel in Jacksonville, Florida. They shared over fifty-nine years of marriage before the death of her husband on December 2, 2003.
Inez retired from the Personnel Dept. at H.D. Lee in Ottawa after 30 years in 1988.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi; Ottawa Professional Business Women's Club; Ottawa University Women's Club; Ottawa University Bill & Inez Frear Endowment Scholarship for Athletes; Pomona Eastern Star & Ottawa Eastern Star Chapter #15.
She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Julie Frear-Ritz and Ralph Ritz of Pomona, Kansas.
Inez had a very profound faith in her Lord and made many accomplishments in her life. She was a loving wife and mother and a friend and helper to all.
Respecting Inez's wishes of cremation and private inurnment at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, KS will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapter #15, Order of Eastern Star and sent to Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home. P.O. Box 14, Ottawa, KS 66067
