Dr. John O. Hildebrand

SOUTH BEND Dr. John O. Hildebrand, 73, of Robin Hood Lane, died at 5:35 a.m. Thursday in St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. Dr. Hildebrand retired as a family practice physician and was former president and secretary of the St. Joseph County Airport Authority. He was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Huntington, IN and lived in South Bend most of his life.

On Aug. 5, 1949, in South Bend, he married Victoria Capatina. She survives with four daughters, Jacqueline Hildebrand, Karen Pugliese and Kathy Hildebrand, all of California, and Dr. Kristine Courtney of Carmel, Ind.; three grandsons; a stepmother, Lucille Hildebrand of Wisconsin; two sisters, Virginia Georgi of South Bend and Gladys Borders of St. Louis; and a brother, Dr. William L. of Indianapolis.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Medical Corps.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospital Foundation or American Cancer Society
