Leonard Joseph Kistler

SOUTH BEND — Leonard Joseph Kistler, 86, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away April 23, 2008.

He was born November 26, 1921, in Logansport, Indiana, the son of Warren and Lois (Smith) Kistler. Leonard owned and operated Stuart Optical for many years.He worked for Imagineering in South Bend, Indiana, and later worked for Publix Supermarkets for more than 10 years in Florida.He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, belonged to the American Legion in Decatur, Michigan, and was a lifetime member of Turners Gymnastic Club in South Bend, Indiana. Leonard loved golfing and bowling.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his beloved wife of 61 years, Genevieve Kistler of North Fort Myers, Florida, and a brother, Chester Kistler of South Bend, Indiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 28, at 11:30 a.m.in St. Terese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers, Florida. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907
