In Memory

Esther J. (Collier) Hosinski
Jan. 25, 1916 - Sept. 28, 2005
A longtime South Bend and Mishawaka resident, Esther passed quietly and peacefully at the home of her son Michael in the early morning hours of September 28th, 2005. She was preceded in death by her beloved Leonard, husband of 58 hand-holding years, and her daughter Barbara who left us too soon.
Esther was a wife and mother first and also retired as a Red Cross volunteer, having given more than 25 years of service. During her time here she touched many lives; she will be missed dearly and remembered with great fondness. It is at Esther's request there be no formal ceremony marking her passing. A simple smile and a little blessing from those who knew her will have to do. She is in God's hands and again with those she missed so much, Leonard and Barbara.
Esther was born to Theodore and Ida Collier along with sisters, Elizabeth "Betty," Carol, Phyllis and Jeanie; brothers, Raymond and Robert "Bobby," who all have preceded her in death. She is survived by sisters, Irene Tauber, Marcellus, Mich., Lois Harry, Summerfield Fla., and Eunice Minnick, Ocala, Fla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and by her son, Michael of Rolling Prairie, IN.
A survivor of cancer and serious heart problems, memorials may be made to the Red Cross, to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society. Final arrangements handled by McGann Funeral Home of South Bend.
