L.C. Sara (Smythe) Medema

THREE RIVERS - Memorial services for L.C. Sara Medema, 53, of 10524 Welburn Road, who died Feb. 4 in Three Rivers Area Hospital of injuries suffered in a fall at her home, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Corey Church of the Nazarene, near Jones. Cremation has taken place. Halverson Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newburg-Porter Ambulance Service.

Mrs. Medema was employed at South Bend Medical Foundation and formerly was employed at Bendix Corp., South Bend.

She was born April 23, 1934, in Chicago. On Oct. 15, 1961, in South Bend, she married Gene R. Medema. He survives with a son, Corey L. a student at Indiana University, Bloomington; a sister, Letty Ellen Mann of Arkansas; and a brother, Read Smythe of Tennessee.

Mrs. Medema was graduated from Riley High School, South Bend, and had attended Indiana University at Bend. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, South Bend.
