Paul T. Collins Jr., 67, of  South Bend, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Lane House in Crawfordsville.

Paul was born on December 2, 1958, in Mishawaka to the late Paul Sr. and Carolyn (Joseph) Collins. He was a proud graduate of Riley High School and carried with him a lifelong appreciation for simple joys and meaningful connections.

Paul found his greatest happiness in spending time with his family and visiting with friends. He had a warm, easygoing spirit and a great sense of humor that made those around him feel at home. "Uncle Joe" loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own kids. He especially enjoyed relaxing with his favorite shows, including The Golden Girls, Hallmark Christmas movies, and classic game shows, often sharing laughs and memorable moments with those by his side. Paul also loved working on puzzles and word searches, a pastime that reflected his patience and quiet focus.

Paul will be deeply missed by his loving sisters, Carol (Mel) Dzialak, Tania (Darry) Grimes, and Tisha (Nick) Garren. He will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, Heidi (Jens Juettner) Daren, Scott (Estefania) Morgan, Kira Grimes, Alex Harman, Jacob Daren, and Eliana Daren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Kathy Darling, and his brother-in-law, Mel.

A memorial visitation for Paul will be held from 1:00–2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Palmer Funeral Home–Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. He will be interred at a later date at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.
