MISHAWAKA - Corbin “Dale” Buchtel, 94, of Mishawaka, IN passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at 9:05 a.m. in his home. He was born on September 10, 1921 in South Bend, IN to the late William Franklin and Loretta Ruth (Moon) Buchtel.

On January 29, 1944 in South Bend, he married Phyllis Boles, who preceded him in death in March, 2010. Dale is survived by his daughter, Linda Buchtel of Mishawaka and his sister, Ona Lee “Onie” Hartman of Walkerton, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his sister, Lillian Marie Payton.

Dale worked for Motor Service in South Bend and was a dedicated Nascar fan.

Funeral services for Dale will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 805 S 29th Street, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial with military honors will take place at Osceola Cemetery.
