Ellen P. (Eby) Emmons

SOUTH BEND - Ellen P. Emmons, 73, of Washington St., died at 6:40 a.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Emmons was born Jan. 16, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On April 26, 1941, in South Bend, as Ellen Eby, she married Robert Paul Emmons. He died Feb. 20, 1979.

Surviving are two sons, Jim L. and Jack L., both of South Bend; five grandchildren; six great-granchildren; and a sister, Norma Isza of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
