MISHAWAKA - Betty D. Wedel, 73, of 13107 Day Road, died at 10:50 a.m.
Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, after an illness. Mrs. Wedel was born Jan. 23, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.
On Aug. 12, 1950, in Mishawaka, as Betty D. Garner, she married Carl H. Wedel. He survives, with two daughters, Julie A. Clymer of Mahomet, Ill., and Joyce M. Truex of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Sally Beveridge of South Bend and Billie Jo Garner of Kodiak, Alaska; and a brother, Robert Garner of Michigan City.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, and Osceola Chapter Order of the Easter Star.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
