Betty Rose (Kollar) Hosier

Betty Hosier, 58, of 1212 E. Indiana, died at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday in her home after a lengthy illness. She was retired from the Rockstroh Insurance Agency in 1971. She was born on Aug. 20, 1921, in South Bend, and had lived here most of her life.

On Feb. 23, 1946, she married Gerald E. Hosier, who survives. Also surviving are her father, Stephen Kollar of South Bend; a son, Robert, of South Bend; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Gemmer of Mishawaka; three half-sisters, Mrs. Ida Belle Haughee of Granger, Mrs. Jo Anne Carrico of South Bend and Mrs. Marilyn Potts of LaGrange; a brother, Robert Kollar of South Bend and a half-brother, Albert Kollar of Chicago.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan. Dr. John Trefzger, D.D., pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
