SOUTH BEND - Gene A. Minnick, 71, of South Kemble Avenue, died at 10:15 a.m. Jan. 15 in his home of natural causes. Mr. Minnick was the retired owner of the former South Bend Fence Co.

He was born Sept. 29, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

Cremation has taken place with burial in Highland Cemetery. Zahoran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
