Evelyn Ruth (Schall) Miller

SOUTH BEND - Evelyn Ruth Miller, 70, of 938 Canterbury Drive, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Miller retired in 1975 from Valley American Bank, Mishawaka after 10 years. She was born Nov. 25, 1921, in Kouts, and lived in South Bend most of her life.

On June 4, 1942, in South Bend, as Evelyn R. Schall, she married John J. Miller Jr. He survives with two daughters, Randa Kay Persinger of Seattle and Barbara Ann Sohr of John Day, Ore.; three sons, Mitchell of Kent, Wash., Creighton J. of. Hammond, La., and Alan D. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; her mother, Ruby Schall of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a sister, Fontana Copp of Phoenix.

She was a member of Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church and Ladies of the Moose Lodge 58. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home
