SOUTH BEND - Philip L. Simpson, 77, of Hobe Sound, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Thursday in his home.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; two sons, William "Bill" of Palm Coast, Fla., and Larry of Lake Placid, Fla.; his mother, Augusta Bell Simpson of Kalamazoo; and a sister, Zephine Culp of Kalamazoo.

Services will be held at a later date. Young & Prill Funeral Home, Stuart, Fla., is handling arrangements
