Richards Fetters was swim coach at Riley High in South Bend, Ind. for years coaching the swim team to many victories including Indiana Boys State Championships. He had a personal touch with swimmers that led to maximum work effort and success. The 1957-8 season State Championships with ram members Bloom, Floden, Buchanan, Baeyer's, Richards, Odusch, etc remember Coach Fetters pacing up and down the YMCA 20 yd pool and falling in. Such dedication led to great successes and character building.
