Christopher Ryan Thorpe

Dec. 3, 1975 - Jan. 27, 1997 Christopher Ryan Thorpe, 21, of Calvert Street, South Bend, died at 8:49 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 3, 1975 in Elkhart and had lived most of his live in the South Bend area.

Christopher is survived by his father and stepmother, Ronald and Debra Thorpe of South Bend; two sisters, Melissa Thorpe and Amy Thorpe, both of South Bend; a brother, Brad Thorpe of South Bend; paternal grandparents, Ella and John Aurrand of Mottville, Mich.; and maternal grandparents, Barbra and Herbert Evans of Bristol, Ind.

Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Jane (Evans) Thorpe in 1977.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, in Christian Center Church with Rev. Frank Sumrall officiating. Private burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Bristol.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Christian Center Church of which Christopher was a member.
