Francis Woodrow Wilson

Francis Woodrow Wilson, 88, of West Harrison Street, in Mooresville, Ind., formerly of the South bend area, passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home in Mooresville. Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 30, 1916, to Frederick R. and Alva (Thompson) Wilson in South Bend, Ind.

Francis met his wife, the former Ms. Beatrice Diemer at church in South Bend, and they were married June 1939. Beatrice preceded him in death, passing away in 1997.

Surviving are his children, Thomas Wilson of Indianapolis, Ind., Douglas Wilson and his wife, Mary of Mishawaka, Ind., and Susan McCoy and her husband, Ralph of Mooresville.Also surviving are four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Francis was preceded in death by his brother, Burdette Wilson in 2002.

A memorial service will be conducted by Reverend Owen Cayton at 10 a.m.Monday, Feb.16
