Arthur Diehl Weller

GRANGER — Arthur D. Weller, 94, passed away on June 8 in the Cardinal Nursing Home at 11:50 pm of natural causes. Arthur was born on October 13, 1915 to George and Marie (Palmer) Weller in South Bend. He served in World War II and was a member of the St.Joseph County detached Marine Corp League.

He married Mary JoAnne McIntyre, who survives in Granger. Also surviving is a brother, George D.(Jan) Weller of Florida; a son, Thomas A.(Kaye) Weller of Vandalia, MI; daughter, Martha “Marty” (Les) Nemeth of Granger; and his only grandchild, Kelly J.(Peter) Kirkwood of Fishers, IN.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wanda Miller of Illinois.

Arthur was a retired Elevator Inspector for the State of Indiana.

There will be a private graveside service for the immediate family. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend 46617, or to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. The Elkhart Cremation Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.
