Agnes Mary (Pallatin) Sedenik

NILES - Agnes M. Sedenik, 93, of Niles, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross in South Bend, IN. Agnes was born on April 20, 1917, in South Bend, IN, to the late Thomas and Katherine (Keglovich) Pallatin.

On January 17, 1942, as the former Agnes Pallatin, she married Victor Sedenik in South Bend. Victor passed away in August 1979. Agnes and Victor shared 37 wonderful years of marriage together. . Agnes was preceded in death by her son, Erick Sedenik, who passed away on February 21, 2006.

Surviving Agnes is her son, Mark (Kathy) Sedenik of Anniston, AL  Also surviving Agnes is her daughter-in-law, Erick's wife, Mary Ellyn Sedenik of Cleveland, OH. Agnes was a loving and caring grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to five grandchildren, Stephen (Laura) Sedenik, Jonathan (Susan) Sedenik, Ericka Blackburn, Rachelle Sedenik and Jessica (Jon) Miller, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving Agnes is her dear friend and caregiver, Carol Romo.

Three brothers, Thomas, John and Joseph Pallatin, also preceded Agnes in death.

 Agnes was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family, who she cherished most of all. Agnes was a member of the New Life Christian Fellowship Church. Agnes was involved in sharing the Word of Christ though the Prison Ministry in Westville, IN, for over 22 years. She also participated in Bible study groups. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Bill McPhail officiating at the funeral home. Burial is to follow the service at Highland Cemetery in South Bend, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 54700 Fir Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
