Anna Jane (Crawford) Olmstead

Anna Jane Olmstead, 81, residing on Rue Voltaire, South Bend, Ind., passed away of natural causes at 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, Oct 3, at the St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend.

Mrs. Olmstead was a homemaker, born on July 29, 1917, in Lakeville, Ind., to the late George J. and Lillian E. (Motts) Crawford. She had lived her entire life in the South Bend area.

On Dec. 19, 1936, in South Bend, she married John W. Olmstead who preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy A. Simpson on Aug. 19, 1990; and by a brother, Howard Crawford, who passed away in 1965.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan E. Olmstead of Mishawaka, Ind.; one son, John H. (Pam) Olmstead of South Bend; five grandchildren, Dina and Kelli Olmstead , and Jennifer, Mark and Michelle Simpson; and by two sisters, June Gray of Lancaster, Calif. and Jean Holther of Claremont, Calif.

Mrs. Olmstead was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church
