Anthony Frank Kalupa Jr.

Anthony F. Kalupa, 61, of 21037 Auten, died at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, Jul 15, 1978, in Healthwin Hospital following a lengthy illess. He retired from the Bendix Corp. in 1974, after being employed there 39 years as a machine operator. He was born on Feb. 24, 1917, in Milwaukee, and had lived here for 40 years, coming from Milwaukee.

On June 29, 1940, in South Bend, he married Edwina S. Szczechowski, who died on May 25, 1977.

He is survived by one son, Robert, of Niles; two grandchildren; and one sister. La Verne Natharis, of Lansing, Mich.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, where Kalupa was a member. Rev. Denis H. Blank, pastor, will officiate. Entombment will be in the Highland Cemetery mausoleum. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and 4 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Kaniewski and Sons funeral home, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.

He was a member of the M.R. Falcons, Nest 4; Corpus Christi Ushers Club; the Elbel Golf Course Men's Club; and the Bendix Retiree's Club
