Harold Fry
May 24, 1916 - May 12, 1977
Harold Fry, 60, of 1902 Randolph, died at 1:55 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a four-month illness. He was a driver for Claeys Wholesale, Inc. Born on May 24, 1916, in Royal Center, Ind., he had lived here most of his life.
On Oct. 31, 1942, in South Bend, he married Ferne M. Porter, who survives with two daughters, Mrs. Dollie Ann Woodworth of Goshen and Mrs. Letha Mae Zimmer of Osceola; four grandchildren; four brothers, Russell and Ivan, both of Mishawaka, and Robert and Richard, both of South Bend and two sisters, Mrs. Nora Cundall' and Mrs. Letha Manley, both of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Matthew Cathedral, Bishop Joseph R. Crowley, rector, officiating. Burial wiil be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel.
Fry was a member of Post 303, American Legion; the Holy Name Society at St. Matthew Cathedral, and was a veteran of World War II.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
