M. Helen (Kinder) Patesel White

March 1, 1917-Sept. 29, 1994

SOUTH BEND Mary H. Patesel White, 77, of 1231 E. Fox St., died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in her home after an il illness. Mrs. White retired as a social worker for REAL Services after 24 years of service as director of the older adult nutritional program at Battell Center, Mishawaka. She was born March 1, 1917, in Brainerd, Minn., and lived in South Bend since 1929.

In 1939 as M. Helen Kinder, she married Floyd "Charlie" Patesel. He died in 1963. In 1965, in South Bend, as Mary H. Kinder, she married Russell B. White. He died May 26, 1981.

She is survived by a son, Roger A. Patesel of South Bend.

She was a member of Kappa Sigma Tau Sorority, Iota Chapter for 20 years, and Faith United Methodist Church

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Faith United Methodist Church. Cremation will take place. McGann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc
