FORT WORTH Gladys M. Hatfield, 81, a retired teletype operator, died Monday, April 13, 1998, at a Lake Worth nursing home. Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials: Charity of choice. Gladys M. Hatfield was born Jan. 1, 1917. She departed this life on April 13, 1998, to join her husband of 60 years, Jerry, and to be united with her Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by two sons and four brothers.

Survivors: Sons, Jerrold Hatfield and his wife, Bonnie, of Burleson; George Hatfield and his wife, Sandy, of Azle and David Hatfield of Magnolia; daughters, Nancy Shutter and her husband, Jerry, of Azle and Sandy Gann and her husband, Andy, of Gordon; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was Salutatorian of the 1935 class of Riley Senior High School in Indiana
