John "Jack" Franklin Lineback

April 18, 1918 - April 11, 2005

John "Jack" Franklin Lineback passed away April 11, 2005 in Pleasant Hill. Memorial services will be held April 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade. Father Greg Neuzil will officiate.

Mr. Lineback was born April 18, 1918 in South Bend, IN. He moved to Fairfield Glade in 1988 from South Bend.

Mr. Lineback graduated from Riley High School in South Bend and attended Notre Dame University. He served in the Army in World War II as a first lieutenant. He was a master plumber and held a patent. He was a member of the Elks, Moose and Lions Club and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade. He loved life, music, friends and his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Waid Lineback of Pleasant Hill; son, James E. Lineback and wife, Aree, of Ogden, UT; daughter, Marney Shaffer and husband, William, of Boise, ID; granddaughters, Kim Hire and Carol Fullmer; stepson, John Shook of Knoxville; stepdaughter, Judith Shook of Murfreesboro, TN; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Lineback was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Savory Lineback in 1958, and his parents, James R. and Lillian Hans Lineback.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
