Joyce (Kuhl) Anderson Lahmeyer

Aug. 8, 1953 – Nov. 14, 2003

The family and friends of Joyce (Kuhl-Anderson) Lahmeyer, 50, are feeling tremendous sadness and loss. Joyce passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov.14, surrounded by family and friends.She was born Aug. 8, 1953, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Doris M.Craig and William R. Kuhl. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Brian Dana Anderson.

On Oct.15, 1988, she married Karl P. Lahmeyer in Fort Wayne, Ind., who survives. She is also survived by children, Jaime Lynn Anderson of South Bend, Hayley Elizabeth Anderson of Granger, Ind., and Alexander Michael Lahmeyer of Granger;two sisters, Gloria “Beanie”(Larry) Hupp of Granger and Terry Lambert of Granger; two brothers, Bill Kuhl of Mishawaka, Ind., and Mike Kuhl of Mishawaka. Her nieces and nephews are Christian (Katrina) Hupp of Seattle, Wash., Ryan (Amanda) Hupp of Jefferson City, Mo., Tam Huguenard of Granger, Kim Bell of South Bend and Dennis Lambert Jr.of Elkhart, Ind. Her family also includes many aunts and uncles.

Joyce graduated from Ivy Tech College in 1985 with a degree in nursing, and she was employed by Horizon Elementary School as a health para-professional from 1995-1997. Joyce’s hobbies included gardening, camping and hiking, and she enjoyed baking and family get-togethers. Those who knew Joyce were touched and inspired by her passion for life and great sense of humor.Her devotion in life was to her family and their happiness. Joyce was blessed with many, many friends.The family would especially like to thank her best friend, Beth Kovatch, for all her love and support.In our hearts forever.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.Wednesday in St.Pius X Catholic Church, Granger. Cremation and interment will follow at a later date at St.Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, 289-1000, and from 9:30 a.m.until time of services in the church on Wednesday.
