Max Robert Bowlin

Max Robert Bowlin , 76, formerly of West Washington Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, in St. Joseph Care Center West.
Mr. Bowlin retired in 1981, as a sales representative for Wolfe Head Oil, now Penzoil, after 15 years of service. He was born on Aug. 27, 1921, in South Bend, to the late Harry and Mary (Anderson) Bowlin , and has lived in South Bend most of his life.
On Oct. 4, 1942, in South Bend, he married Doreen Clarice Spillman, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Marsha Bowlin of Dallas, Texas, and Judy Palmer of Carbondale, Colo.; a son, Brad Bowlin of Perris, Calif.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mona Sheetz of South Bend; and by a brother, James Bowlin of Woodlands, Texas.
Mr. Bowlin was a World War II Navy Veteran.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Services for Mr. Bowlin will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Don Francis officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
