Michael “Mikey” P. Almaguer, 28, residing in South Bend, IN, died Monday, July 3, 2006, in South Bend, IN. He was born on July 18, 1977, in South Bend, IN, to Jose and Adele (Amador) Almaguer Sr., and had lived here all of his life. Michael is survived by his parents, Jose and Adele Almaguer Sr.of South Bend; two sisters, Frances (Ricardo) Quinones of South Bend and Deanna Lee of Elkhart;and three brothers, Jose (Christy) Almaguer Jr.of North Liberty, and Daniel (Amy) Almaguer and Samuel Almaguer, both of South Bend; two half sisters, Joann Burger and Lisa Almaguer, both of Mishawaka. Nine nieces, 13 nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins survive as well.

Michael attended grade school at St.Matthew’s, and graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School. He was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church in South Bend. He was an avid fisherman, loved Notre Dame football and attending all the games.He was a sports enthusiast.He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m.

Tuesday, July 11, 2006, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 2420 W.Huron, South Bend, IN.Rev.Chris Cox will offici- ate.Graveside services and burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, IN.The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, where a Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m.Monday.Visitation will also be one hour prior to services Tuesday in the church. Contributions may be made to the Michael Paul Almaguer Memorial Fund, c/o the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union
