Helen Virginia (Pilarski) Frame

Dec. 31, 1921 – Feb. 28, 2003 SOUTH BEND, IN — Helen Virginia Frame, 81, residing on Wimbleton Court, South Bend, passed away at 11:35 p.m.on Friday, Feb.28, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Mrs.Frame was born on Dec.31, 1921, in South Bend, to the late Michael and Helen (Nowakowski) Pilarski.

On March 9, 1941, in South Bend, she married Harvey M.Frame, who preceded her in death on July 5, 1989. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Carlson; three sisters, Carrie Rubino, Alice Polcyn and Virginia Kline; and by seven brothers, Joseph, Theodore, Harry, Clem, Edward, Richard and Marian Pilarski.

Mrs.Frame worked at the South Bend Tribune in the classified department for many years.She then moved to Michigan and lived on Donnell Lake, working at the welfare department in Cassopolis, Mich.After retirement she moved to Englewood, Fla., and resided there for 10 years before moving back to South Bend in 1982.Mrs. Frame was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, and was a 1940 graduate of Riley High School.

Mrs.Frame is survived by three grandchildren, Christopher (Judy) Carlson of Tampa, Fla., Amanda Carlson of South Bend and Megan Carlson of Mishawaka, Ind.;two great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Scott Carlson of Tampa;and by two sisters, Diane Haley of South Bend and Agnes Brainerd of Mishawaka.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m.on Thursday, March 6, in the Little Flower Catholic Church, where friends may visit with the family two hours prior to services. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Contributions in memory of Helen Virginia Frame may be made to Hospice House, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637;or to Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N.Ironwood, South Bend, IN46635. The Palmer Funeral Home- Guisinger Chapel, South Bend, is in charge of funeral arrangements
