Leonard P. Lukasiak Jr

ELKHART — Friends of Leonard P. Lukasiak Jr., may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.today at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, included a rosary services at 3:03 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Bill Sullivan officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lukasiak, 63, of North Main Street, died at 4:03 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at the home of his daughter in Bristol.
He was born to Leonard Sr. and Helen (Guzicki) Lukasiak in South Bend on April 28, 1939, and graduated from Riley High School.
He and his second wife Patricia, were married Dec. 21, 1969, in South Bend and she died in 1995.
He is survived by two sons, Matthew of Middlebury and Luke of Osceola; three daughters, Donna Houghton of Bristol, Cheryl Lukasiak of Lakeville and Gina O’Neil of California; one granddaughter; and four sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Maryann) Kwiecinski, Rita Harper and Fran Huff, all of South Bend, and Christine Kovach of Mishawaka.
An infant sister, Phyllis Lukasiak and his first wife, Rita (Schramin) Lukasiak, are deceased.
Mr. Lukasiak retired as a mechanic from Honeywell (formerly Bendix). He was a member of the AAR Sheriff’s Association and attended St. Thomas Catholic Church and American Legion Post 308. He also enjoyed fishing.
