Curtis Nelson Williams, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend, passed away in his home on June 10, 2025, following an extended illness. at the age of 58. He was born on August 16, 1966, in Luxora, Arkansas, to the union of Nellie Mae (Campbell) Chew and Mack Williams. Curtis was a resident of South Bend, Indiana for 50 years and lived in Mishawaka, Indiana. 4 and a half years. He attended Riley High School in the early eighties.

Curtis loved cooking, and grilling, socializing, playing cards, gambling, “planting his vegetable garden" and spending time with family.

 He realized that regardless of what obstacles life brought his way that he had a lot to be thankful for.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Alicia Stewart; son, Cornelius Williams; nine grandchildren,;his mother, Nellie Mae Chew; two sisters, Delisa (Danny) Cole and Michelle (Talles) Lee; his brother, Mark Chew; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Williams; Maternal Grandparents; Johnnie Campbell and Ida Ruth Campbell; two great aunts; Annie Mae Kelly and Mary Louise (Panch) Campbell; four uncles, Robert Earl Campbell, L.V. Campbell, Michael Lee Campbell, and Bobby Lee Campbell; one aunty, Alice Louise Campbell; and four cousins, Levon Stokes, Valerie Marie Wright, Anthony Stokes, and Eddie Lee Stokes.

Curtis' family wishes to extend an invitation to all who knew and loved him to join them in celebrating his life. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home - West Chapel. Friends and family are welcome to gather one hour prior to the service to share stories, comfort one another, and honor the remarkable life of Curtis Nelson Williams.

Repass will be held at Potawatomi Park 2105 East Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, Indiana 46615 2:00-6:00 Pavillion 4 next to the playground

Curtis' journey on earth may have come to an end, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. His laughter, kindness, consideration, and love will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will forever be treasured in the hearts of his loved ones. Rest in peace, Curtis Nelson Williams; your legacy will live on through the lives you touched.
