Bess L. Wyrick

Miss Bess L. Wyrick, 83, of Roann, Ind., formerly of South Bend, died at 1:05 a.m. Sunday in Wabash County Hospital, Wabash: She was born on June 29, 1899, in Maywood, Ind. and lived in South Bend for 30 years.
Miss Wyrick taught English and business education at Riley High School, where she sponsored the school newspaper, Hi Times. She retired from teaching in 1961, and moved to Roann where she worked as treasurer of Manchester High School in North Manchester, and was employed by the State Exchange Bank in Roann. She is survived by a nephew, W. Tedd Wyrick of Franklin, Ind. Services will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at the Grandstaff Funeral Home in Roann, with Rev. Claude Wolfe, pastor of the Roann Church of the Brethren, officiating. Burial will be in the Roann Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today in the funeral home.
She was formerly a member of the First Presbyterian Church of South Bend, and the Presbyterian Players
