Paul Saros

Paul Soros

September 24, 1937  -  June 27, 2026

Paul Saros, 88, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on Saturday.

Born on September 24, 1937, Paul was the son of Stephen Michael and Anna Saros. He attended St. Matthew’s Grade School and Riley High School in South Bend.

On June 8, 1958, Paul married the love of his life, Martha “Marty” (Royce). Together they shared 65 years of marriage before Marty preceded him in death in 2023.

For more than 40 years, Paul was the proud owner of Paul’s Coin Shop in South Bend. He was also a proud member of AHEPA, faithfully serving as President of South Bend Chapter #100 and as a past District Governor.

Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marty; his son, Paul M. Saros, who passed away earlier this month; his parents; his brothers, Gust Saros and Stephen Saros; his sister, Helen Haynes; his daughter-in-law, Janice Saros; and two children who died in infancy, Billy Jo and Dawn Saros.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Saros and Michael (Barbara) Saros; his daughter-in-law, Frances Saros; seven grandchildren, Martha (Chet) Syson, Stephanie (Joe) Saros, Michael (Autumn) Saros Jr., Jaci (Evan) Speicher, Jillian (Ryan) Bonnell, Jamie Saros, and Paul (Victoria) Saros; fourteen great-grandchildren, with another on the way; four great-great-grandchildren; and countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply. Paul’s family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Barb Smith and to Tracy Coates for their unwavering care and support.

Paul lived a life defined by hard work, integrity, service, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on not only through the generations he leaves behind, but also through the countless lives he touched through his business, his community, and his friendships.

While our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with Marty, his son Paul, and all those who went before him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. Services will be held the next day, Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM, also in the funeral home, with Reverend Terry Fisher officiating. A short visitation will take place 1 hour prior to service. Paul will be laid to rest next to Martha in Highland Cemetery in South Bend, following service.
