Brian S. Forray, 68, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 12:58 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026 at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.
He was born on May 22, 1958 to the late Alex, Jr. and Mary Catherine (Chamberlain) Forray in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan “Sue” Jean (Forray) Brittain.
Brian graduated in 1977 from Riley High School in South Bend, IN.
He retired on July 1, 2023 from Mishawaka Sheet Metal in Elkhart, IN, where he worked as a truck driver for over 15 years.
On October 11, 1980, he married Bobbi Butz at Grace United Methodist Church in South Bend, IN. Brian is survived by his loving wife of nearly 46 years, Bobbi Forray of Mishawaka, IN; two daughters, Christina (Chuck) Correll of Mishawaka, IN; Patricia (Chris) Wilkins of Elkhart, IN; two sons, Brian (Bev) Forray of Granger, IN; Scott (Kathleen) Forray of Mishawaka, IN; seven grandchildren, Peyton, Kinsley, and Emersyn Forray, all of Granger, IN; Avery and Brielle Forray, both of Mishawaka, IN; Elena and Charlie Correll, both of Mishawaka, IN; three sisters, Judy Chastain of Berrien Springs, MI; Patti Malohn of South Bend, IN; Debbie Nelson of Lafayette, IN; and a brother, Alex Ray Forray of Fort Wayne, IN.
Brian enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were his whole world. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan, and a huge Notre Dame fan.
A memorial visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2026 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Heart Association.
