Florence (Ault) Bockover
FLORENCE BOCKOVER Florence Bockover of Riverside, CA passed away at age 99 on June 12, 2013 at Villa Health Care. Florence was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 9, 1913.
She graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana.
There she met the love of her life, Robert A. Bockover, whom she married in February of 1933. Florence and her husband moved to Riverside when he retired to be near their son and family. She lived in Riverside the rest of her life. Florence and Robert made Highgrove Elementary School their second home. Florence was an aide for ten years in a Kindergarten classroom. Upon retirement, she became a volunteer aide in her son's classroom for ten years. She loved sharing her artistic skills with the children.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert and Charles. She has seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was active in her church, Grove Community Church, and was a member of Eastern Star.
The family want to thank Villa Health Care for the loving care given to Florence for four years. There will be a visitation time on Friday, June 21 at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary from 6p.m. to 8p.m. A private burial service will be held at Montecito Memorial Park on Saturday, June 22. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Grove Community Church or a charity of your choice.
