Dave was a wonderful friend and classmate from 1959-1969.I first met him in the 6th grade at Marshall where he was a solid student and a good all around athlete, with basketball being his best sport.We then went to Riley together where he continued to play sports and enjoy his youth.His house was always a magnet for kids in the area and we would play basketball and football on his lawn. Dave came from a longtime Riley family with his older brother Dennis being a great HS basketball player, his sister Jerry Lynn being a cheerleader and his Dad a HS Sports official. in 1969, Dave and I took a crosscountry car trip to the West Coast staying at National Parks and friends houses along the way and had our last taste of fun before life and vietnam caught up with us.
I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing some years ago.
