Ms. Lincoln, I was sorry to hear of your passing. You were my gym teacher for two years at Riley High School (1971 and 1972) and I was your gym assistant for one year (1973). I learned a lot of great tumbling routines, trampoline routines and volleyball moves from you. I loved track and all the sports and was an avid gym enthusiast. I would have participated in track, volleyball, and gymnastics if not for having to babysit my younger siblings after school. If it would have been allowed, I would have been your gym aide my senior year.
Thank you for all the great lessons you taught me.
I will miss you. Rest in peace.

Mr. Black, I am so sorry to hear of your passing. You were an EXCELLENT TEACHER and MAN OF FAITH! I know you are in Heaven with our Heavenly Father and the angels. I am sure you are having a wonderful time seeing family, old friends and former students.
I graduated from Riley in 1974 and was pleased to have you as a teacher in two of my English classes. I enjoyed the talks we would engage in regarding religion, Catholicism and the Protestant faith and me being a preachers' kid. You were humorous, smart, caring, encouraging and loved your students and teaching dearly. You always cared about our lives and what we were doing at the moment and what future dreams we had. That always came through daily in your classroom.
I will miss you. Rest in peace my friend. Until we meet again.

Dear Randy ~ I was sorry to learn of your passing. I will always remember you from homeroom and health class. I especially remember the discussions we would have about life and the afterlife and the gorry drunk driving movies we were forced to watch in health. You were known around Riley for your "statement blonde, long hair and your motorcycle boots." You were kind and gracious and a good soul. You always marched to the beat of a different drummer and followed your own path. It was always a pleasure to see you around town and chat and catch up. I'm sorry I won't be seeing you around. Take care my friend. RIP. Diane Davis Class of 1974.
Debra ~ I am so sorry to learn of your passing. I always enjoyed talking with you in class and around school and around South Bend. Our paths would cross from time to time and it was always fun to catch up. You were always a very creative, fun loving person who adored her husband and family. RIP my friend. Jimmy ~ I will always remember you from art class with Mr. Sysin. You had a great sense of humor and quick wit and were always fun to be around. We always had fascinating discussions while we were rendering our next extraordinary sketch. Remember the hours (one entire semester) we whittled away sketching "Mr. Bones.," Mr Sysin's classroom skeleton. I'll never forget his words, "you have to learn porportion of the human body and this is the best way to do it." You loved art and being creative. I remembeir you always wearing a camera draped around your neck waiting for the next great "photo opportunity." I modeled for you and remember my boyfriend seeing my photos taken by you, hanging in Boogee Records. Your personality and great smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed. RIP. Your friend, Diane Ayer Davis, Class of 1974
